Hazelwood Teething Necklaces

Hazelwood has the medicinal property of neutralizing the body's acidity, which by doing so, relieves or prevents ailments such as ulcers, acid reflux, heartburn, teething, skin problems (psoriasis, eczema, acne), arthritis and arthrosis, constipation, migraines, and dental cavities. Therefore, necklaces made from Hazelwood are as effective for adults as they are for babies and children.
- All children's necklaces come in 11,13, and 14 inch sizes. (14" special order)
- Generally, 11 inch accomodates 0-2 year olds,13 inch accommodates 2-4 year olds, and 14 inch accomodates 4-10 year olds.
- You should be able to put 2 fingers in between your child's neck and necklace and child should NOT be able to put necklace in mouth.
- It is recommended that you check the necklace and clasp daily to ensure that it is tightly done up, secure and not falling apart. Necklaces are worn at your own risk.
Care and Completion
- Infant necklaces need only be taken off for swimming (Whew! That's good because it sure is difficult getting the necklaces off those squirmy babies!).
- Necklaces are finished anywhere from about 3 to 9 months. When the inner "core" wood turns from a creamy colour to a dark brown (almost appearing to be wet), it is time for a new one!
- The bark of the Hazelwood may sluff off individual pieces. This is normal and will not affect the effectiveness of the necklace.
Product Safety
The string used for the necklaces is a metal thread covered in nylon for the following reasons:
- Maximum resistance to abrasion, nicks, cuts, and scrapes
- Long lasting
- Minimum water absorption
- Suppleness
- This clasp was put through several tests and is the safest for babies and children.
- Clasp is nickel and lead free!
- In the event the necklace gets caught or is under too much tension, the clasp will open on either end without breaking the string of beads.
- The necklace is clamped at both ends before being attached to the clasp. If the clasp were to open, no small pieces would be accessible for children to swallow.
- The safety feature of this clasp is meant to last for 4 months. In order to ensure the effectiveness of both the Hazelwood and the necklace, please replace 11" and 13" necklaces every 4 months
